Tax Receipt for Parking FAQ's

Important Information

We advise all customers to download receipts at the time of purchase, as they may not always be available post-purchase depending on the payment method and the time elapsed since the transaction.

How to download a receipt for a Pre-Paid Purchase

You must be signed in to your Secure Parking account to view and download tax receipts for current or past pre-paid purchases.

At the Time of Purchase:

  • Scroll to the bottom of the purchase screen.
  • Click 'Download Receipt'.
  • Check your downloads folder for the PDF (location may vary on Mac).

After the Purchase Date:

  1. Open the ‘Account’ tab:
    • Web: Select the ‘Purchases’ tab.
    • App: Go directly to the ‘Purchases’ tab via footer navigation.
  2. Upcoming Purchases: Select the item and click 'Download Receipt' under each item.
  3. Past Purchases: Find used, unused, and cancelled purchases in the ‘Past’ purchases tab. Select the item and click 'Download Receipt.'

If multiple purchases are made in a single transaction, they will appear as separate items on the same receipt.

How to See an Overview of all your past online purchases with Secure Parking

Only availableon the website (desktop or mobile version).

  • Sign in to your account.
  • Open the 'Account' tab - Bottom right on mobile devices - Top navigation bar on a desktop computer or laptop.
  • Select 'Activity Statement'.

Your most recent transactions will appear and you can filter by date range. To download an 'Activity Statement' click the Download CSV button. This file is not a tax receipt.

How to Get a Receipt if You Have Driven into a Car Park Without Purchasing in Advance

If using the App to pay:

Your Secure Parking account is linked across the Secure Parking App and website, meaning your receipts for pre-paid parking are available on all devices and platforms from the ‘Purchases’ tab.

The App can also be used for parking payments when driving up and paying via the App. A history of these parking sessions or advance purchases can be found in the ‘History’ tab of your account when signed into the App, but they are not available on the website.

To get a tax receipt in this case:

  1. Open the ‘Account’ tab in the App.
  2. Select the ‘History’ tab.
  3. Click on an item.
  4. Click the 'Send Receipt' button, and a receipt will be sent to your email address associated with your account. Please ensure your email address is up to date.

If you swiped a payment card on entry:

At the exit gate, swipe the same card used on entry and follow the prompts to add your mobile number. You will be sent SMS containing a link from which you can download your tax receipt.

If you are paying at a pay machine in car park:

In-car park pay machines offer the opportunity to get a receipt at the time of payment. We advise all customers to print receipts at this time, as they may not always be available post-purchase.

How to Update, Amend, or Cancel an Online Payment 

Find the Purchased Item You Want to Update

When signed in, select ‘Purchases’ (calendar icon) in the Account tab on the app home screen or website. You can update as required. Fees/charges may apply, and there may be cancellation/amendment restrictions as per the terms and conditions of your parking product. Please note, if you’ve paid on the website, you must change or cancel your payment via your website account. If you’ve made a payment via the app, you are required to make amendments via the Secure Parking App. 

Cancellation Refunds

Paid in Full Using a Credit Card: You will receive a refund back to the payment card you used, provided your selected dates and times are within the cancellation period (60 minutes prior to the product entry time). A $1.00 cancellation fee will be deducted, and you should allow 5-10 business days for the refund to be transferred back into your account. Please note, you cannot claim any refunds for unused paid parking if it is not within the cancellation period of 60 minutes prior to entry time. 

Partially Paid or Fully Paid Using a Gift Card

If you have paid in full or partially with a gift card, you will receive the refund as a gift card back into your account immediately. A $1.00 cancellation fee applies. If you have multiple parkings paid for in a single transaction, you will only be entitled to a refund for upcoming dates and times. Any expired parkings will not be refunded. 

Cancelling Payments Made with Apple Pay

Absolutely! Select the purchase in your account and follow the prompts to cancel. There is a $1 cancellation fee that requires you to reconfirm payment in your Apple Pay Account for security reasons. The parking fee less $1 will then be refunded to the original card used. 

Cancelling Payments Made with Google Pay 

Yes! Select the purchase in your account and follow the prompts to cancel. There is a $1 cancellation fee that requires you to reconfirm payment in your Google Pay Account for security reasons. The parking fee less $1 will then be refunded to the original card used. 

The 1% surcharge for credit card payments (excluding AMEX) is fully refunded when you cancel a purchase.

How to Add or Update Your Payment Card 

Add Card

When signing up, you will be prompted to add a payment card. This payment card will automatically apply as the default payment method until you decide to add additional payment cards to your account or use Apple or Google Pay. Please note, if you use both the app and website, you will be required to add your card payment details to your website account and your app account as these are two separate platforms. 

Add Additional Cards 

Once logged into your account on the website, click on the account button. Then proceed to click ‘Payment Methods’. Here you will be able to add the card details for the new card. You can also choose which card you prefer as default from the list provided. 

Remove Cards 

Payment cards will only be able to be deleted if there are no active parking sessions attached to them. To delete a card, simply click the delete button next to the payment card you wish to remove. 

Choose a Different Card at Checkout

Specify Which Card to Debit 

At checkout, you will be able to select the payment card you wish to have charged. A list of available cards in your account will be displayed. You may select one of these options, and if no card is selected during this process, on confirmation of your purchase, the selected default card will be charged.
